According to the Kennett Paper, there is a new restaurant coming to Historic Kennett Square. It is said that it will be a "wine and tapas, or small plate" style restaurant. The owner also has plans in place to construct a "steak-and-shake" style restaurant on Gay Street in West Chester. Both will be exciting new additions to the historic flavor and flair of each town in our Southern Chester County region.
While there are advantages to construct in a downturn economy, the ominous disadvantage of the ability to acquire financing remains. Private loans and grant money are becoming more of a necessity due to the "tightening of the belt" in the commercial lending industry as a whole. This "unconventional" means of financing makes visionary projects like these two restaurants become reality.
The face of Commercial Real Estate is ever-changing, but you must agree that keeping up with the changes in the financing department has become a daunting task.
The Kennett location will have seating on first and second floors, with a wine-cellar on the basement floor. With exquisite historic design in mind, this tapas restaurant will be both affordable at "$12 and under" for appetizer-sized portions and pleasurable, especially for the wine connoisseur, with over 40 different wines served in addition to a full bar.
